### **Thiamethoxam (25% WG) – Systemic Neonicotinoid Insecticide**

**Mode of Action:**

– **Nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) agonist** (IRAC Group 4A) – disrupts nerve transmission, causing paralysis and death.

**Target Pests:**

– **Aphids**, **leafhoppers**, **whiteflies**, **thrips**, **termites**, **soil grubs**.

**Key Benefits:**

– **Rapid systemic uptake** (foliar & soil application).

– **Long-lasting residual control** (weeks to months).

– **Seed treatment compatibility** (protects young plants).

**Crops:** Cotton, rice, maize, vegetables, fruits.

**Dosage:** 0.2–0.5 g/L (spray), 3–5 g/kg seeds.

**Caution:**

– **Highly toxic to bees** – avoid flowering stages.

– **Water-soluble** – risk of runoff contamination.

**Note:** For resistance management, rotate with **flonicamid** or **spirotetramat**.
