### **Clothianidin (50% WDG) – Systemic Neonicotinoid Insecticide**

**Mode of Action:**

– **Nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) agonist** (IRAC Group 4A) – Causes nerve overstimulation, paralysis, and death.

**Target Pests:**

– **Aphids**, **thrips**, **whiteflies**, **leafhoppers**, **termites**, **soil-dwelling grubs**.

**Key Benefits:**

– **Strong systemic & translaminar activity** (soil/seed treatment + foliar).

– **Long-lasting residual control** (weeks to months).

– **Effective against resistant pests** (alternate to imidacloprid).

**Crops:** Corn, soybeans, cotton, rice, vegetables.

**Dosage:** 20–40 g/ha (foliar), 1–2 g/kg seeds.

**Caution:** Highly toxic to bees – avoid blooming periods.
