### **Trichlorfon (50% SP) – Organophosphate Insecticide**
**Mode of Action:**
– **Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor** (IRAC Group 1B) – disrupts nerve signals, causing paralysis and death.
**Target Pests:**
– **Leaf-eating caterpillars**, **borers**, **armyworms**, **cockroaches**, **flies**, **mosquito larvae**.
**Key Benefits:**
– **Rapid knockdown** (contact + stomach action).
– **Breaks down quickly** (short residual, ideal for pre-harvest use).
– **Low-cost** pest control solution.
**Crops:** Vegetables, fruits, rice, stored grains.
**Dosage:** 1.5–2 g/L (spray), 1–2 kg/ton (grain treatment).
