**Acephate**

is a systemic organophosphate insecticide effective against chewing and sucking pests like aphids, leaf miners, and caterpillars in crops, ornamentals, and turf. It inhibits acetylcholinesterase, disrupting the nervous system. While moderately toxic to mammals, it poses risks to bees and aquatic life. Its systemic action provides lasting protection but requires careful use to minimize environmental impact and resistance development. *
