### **Chlorpyrifos (20% EC) – Organophosphate Insecticide**

**Mode of Action:**

– **Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor** (IRAC Group 1B) – Causes nerve signal overload, leading to paralysis and death.

**Target Pests:**

– **Termites**, **cutworms**, **root borers**, **stem borers**, **soil grubs**, **sucking pests**.

**Key Benefits:**

– **Broad-spectrum** contact & stomach poison.

– **Soil and foliar application** with residual activity.

– **Cost-effective** for pest control in multiple crops.

**Crops:** Cotton, maize, sugarcane, vegetables.

**Dosage:** 2.0–2.5 mL/L (spray), 4–5 L/ha (soil treatment).

**Caution:** Highly toxic to humans, birds & aquatic life – use PPE. **Banned in many countries** – check local regulations.
