### **Imidacloprid (17.8% SL) – Systemic Neonicotinoid Insecticide**

**Mode of Action:**

– **Nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) agonist** (IRAC Group 4A) – Overstimulates nerves, causing paralysis and death.

**Target Pests:**

– **Aphids**, **leafhoppers**, **whiteflies**, **termites**, **soil grubs**, **rice weevils**.

**Key Benefits:**

– **Strong systemic action** (root uptake & foliar penetration).

– **Long residual control** in soil and plants.

– **Seed treatment & foliar applications**.

**Crops:** Cotton, rice, vegetables, fruits, cereals.

**Dosage:** 0.3–0.5 mL/L (spray), 2–3 g/kg seeds.

**Caution:** Highly toxic to bees – avoid flowering stages.
