### **Abamectin (1.8% EC) – Broad-Spectrum Insecticide/Acaricide**

**Mode of Action:**

– **Neurotoxic** (GABA agonist) – paralyzes pests by disrupting nerve signals.

– **Contact & stomach poison** with translaminar activity.

**Target Pests:**

– **Mites** (spider mites, rust mites), **leaf miners**, **thrips**, **aphids**, **nematodes** (suppressive).

**Key Benefits:**

– **Fast-acting** with residual control.

– **Effective against resistant pests** (IRAC Group 6).

– **Low mammalian toxicity** but highly toxic to bees & aquatic life.

**Crops:** Vegetables, fruits, cotton, ornamentals.

**Dosage:** 0.5-1.5 mL/L (foliar spray).
